A treasure in their backyard. I wish I had tulips.

Clayton Visit

We had a fun and productive week at Natalie
and Justin's newly purchased home. When we
arrived the trees were all white and in no time
the green invaded. It is such a pleasant street.
I spent my time assisting with painting and
working in the yard.

Nixon Library

Lee is doing his Nixon impression before he leaves on the helicopter.
I am enjoying the huge, yellow "St. Patrick" roses in the rose garden.

Easter 2009

We attended a piano concert by Howard Cowles at the Nixon Library theater on Easter Sunday. He played his original pieces, and what ever the audience wanted to hear. For me it was "Somewhere in Time," and he played it. I liked the scripture he put on the program: Ecc. 4:9-10,
"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward
for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:
but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help
him up."
We took a tour of the library after the concert. Both he and Pat were buried on the property.
Amazingly, the grounds included the original home his father built, and all the furnishings from his youth had been preserved in storage by a family member after his mother's death.

We want to live in this cute house.
