Leezza's full-circle dress has the magical effect of transforming her into a spinning top.
We read the book Pinkalicious. It's about a girl that eats too many cupcakes and turns pink.
Many cherries missed getting on the cupcakes.
They look just like the ones in the book.

Great Day!
We left for our babysitting duties early and had a delicious artichoke-filled veggie sandwich at Round Table Pizza, then saw a super satisfyingly well-done film, The King's Speech. When we babysat while Brad and Hai Minh went to the office party Leezza and Ian were perfect and so much fun. This is her new dress.
This is where Ian had the most fun.
At dinner Leezza appointed me to pray and in the middle she firmly reminded me to include in the prayer, "Grandma and Grandpa." Since I was "Grandma" I ignored that, but she persisted, "Grandma and Grandpa" so I was thankful for myself. Afterwards she reminded me with sweet enthusiasm that she had helped me during the prayer. She loved, loved, loved helping set the table.

Our Birthday 2010
We met Brad and Leezza at Disneyland.
Fireworks at 7:30! Leezza kept going 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and insisted at the end that she was "wide awake."
Dinner at the Blue Bayou.
Leezza and Brad riding bumper cars at "A Bug's Land."

August 2010
Brad's birthday.
Leezza with her numbers and counting.
Two birds for my garden. I'll name them Jean and Susan to remind me of a great day we had together.
The most beautiful part of my garden is this blooming, varigated coleus.

Our tropical garden. Lee built the box for the plants and to cover the plumbing.
Leezza came to visit in her new outfit and new hairstyle. She will let clips and bands stay in her hair now.

A Fun Day, June 8th
We took Vern and Clare to the airport for their trip to Virginia to attend a wedding.
We treated Brad to dinner at the Thai House restaurant after he helped us when Lee's computer crashed. Afterwards we enjoyed seeing a terrific performance of "Tommy" at the Chance Theater. Our neighbor Robert was the assistant choreographer and his husband K.C. did the lighting effects.
